Again...

Have started again and again...weight loss, organizing, keeping life simple...the list goes on and on. I am human and can only take one step at a time. I want to share my stories of life and get feedback on how to make the best of it.

Live your life like a healthy person

So over the past week I have refreshed myself in this healthy journey and I have run across the saying "live your day like you've lost 50 pounds an you will end up there" "live like a healthy person". I understand the general concept of this way if thinking and it make sense but my question is how does the average everyday healthy person live? What is an example of their day? Do they constantly think of ways to b healthy or does it just come naturally? Do they say to themselves "if I eat this I will gain weight"? Or do they just go about their marry way? What do thy do when they see a plate of brownies or a box of pizza? What about when they are dragging butt tired? I would love for my readers to answer these questions for me. I would love to here about your average day no matter how boring it may be to you or how simple I may seem. To me it is the most interesting! I may have to ask a few people I know I they would be willing to journal their day for me. What does Adar in the life of a healthy person who isn't trying to lose weight look like???

  1. wow!Great question! Wish I knew the answer--then maybe i wouldn't have to live like I do. HA! When I am trying to live healthfully, I am always making a conscious effort to make the right choice. I have to put forth like 10 times the mental energy it would take a natually healthy person to make the right choice though. :Moderation" does just happen with me, it is a constant effort.

That quote to me is about believing that you will get there and just living today how you plan to live the rest of your life. I hope that one day, as I'm still living the way I try to now, that it comes more naturally.

  3. Alright .. first off I love this blog that you have Stephanie. Now for the answer to this question ... I honestly don't think about whether a food will make me fat or not. For me food seriously is just fuel for my body. I think of food scientifically .. what I mean by that is in the form of proteins/fats/carbs. I know if I have a hard workout coming I will need carbs the night before. After my workout I need a mix of 4:1 carbs:protein to replenish my muscles.

I think once I took the 'emotion' out of food then the worry of what eating this or that went away too. Of course being a celiac I have to be extra careful about the food I put in my body, but at the same time I feel empowered by the opportunities it creates to think outside the box!

I eat ALL THE TIME ... and I am not kidding. You know exactly what I am talking about now that you are in the midst of Insanity Month 2. You are fueling your body .. look how far you have come since Jan!! ;-) Keep it up.
